Barranquilla será sede del I Congreso Regional sobre Síndrome de Down
*El evento se realizará el próximo 20 y 21 de octubre como un espacio de reflexión multisectorial
Barranquilla, 18 de julio 2022.- Con el objetivo de promover un espacio de reflexión y acción sobre las medidas que fomenten las respuestas a la inclusión de las personas con síndrome de Down en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, Fundown Caribe junto a otros aliados lideran el I Congreso Regional sobre Síndrome de Down que tendrá como sede la ciudad de Barranquilla el 20 y 21 de octubre.
Este evento abrirá las puertas para que la población con discapacidad, familias, maestros, empresarios, sector salud y sociedad en general puedan acceder a información actualizada, reconociendo las posibilidades, las barreras existentes y su forma de eliminación promoviendo de esta manera la participación de las personas con síndrome de Down bajo las mismas garantías.
El I Congreso Regional sobre síndrome de Down “Educándonos para la Inclusión” se realizará de manera presencial en la ciudad y durante los dos días consecutivos se abordarán las temáticas: familia, educación, trabajo y salud mediante conferencias, talleres, panel de buenas prácticas y experiencias exitosas.
"Se busca profundizar las acciones individuales y colectivas para promover la inclusión educativa, laboral o de desarrollo personal de las personas con síndrome de Down, teniendo en cuenta que la Convención de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad nos invita como sociedad a promover, proteger y asegurar el goce pleno y en condiciones de igualdad de todos los derechos humanos", expresó la Presidente de Fundown Caribe Patricia Cabrera.
Con esta invitación promovemos la articulación del trabajo que se viene realizando en la región Caribe para interiorizar la inclusión sin discriminación y aportar desde Barranquilla al cumplimiento de la agenda 2030 "No dejar a nadie atrás"
